The Hospital’s charity care policy for LA County residents does not establish a strict FPL limit for eligibility, rather, patient liability is based on income sliding scale for those whose household income is above 200% FPL and free for those whose household income is at or below 200% FPL. The Hospital’s discount payment policy is for out of LA County residents whose household gross income is less than or equal to 400% FPL whose liability would be the amount the facility would receive from the Medi-Cal program.
